Is An Internet Franchise Really For The Masses?

Hey there everybody.  To answer this question I could write a book, but I won’t.  Not yet at least.   The simple answer is; Yes!

Now I don’t mean an Internet Franchise is for everyone but absolutely owning and operating an Internet Franchise is for the masses.  The reason is very easy to grasp.  Owning an Internet Franchise comes with all the benefits of owning a traditional franchise like a Subway restaurant or a UPS store, without all the drawbacks.

Traditional franchises are not for the masses though because the start up capital requirement is just so darn high.  Not only money is a factor though.  It also takes full time effort right from day one even though the profit typically doesn’t kick in for a year, two years or more.

Full time effort, huge start-up expenses and profitless is a formula disaster in most cases.  The normal everyday Jack or Jill just doesn’t have the capacity to make it work.  I mean c’mon, can we really expect people to just quit their job’s, go without income for months or even a year and invest most of their life savings?  Some people yes.  The masses, no.

Internet Franchises and brick and mortar franchises do have an enormously high success rate which is why it’s so attractive but almost all the people that inquire about traditional franchising get turned away.  And even if you do get accepted into the club, you may find the club isn’t what it appears.  Let’s take a closer look.

Franchise fees, weekly royalties, massive overhead, employee issues, facility challenges and minute profit margins are what is behind the curtain of most traditional franchises.  These things are no fun at all.  Take it from a guy who’s been down this road, you don’t want to find yourself a slave.  Imagine putting in 40-60+ hours a week only to discover that all the revenue that week went out the door just as fast as it came in.  It’s no fun to discover that there’s nothing left for you and your family after all the bills are paid.  Overhead flat out stinks!

This is where an Internet Franchise changes the game.  Keep the benefits like a proven duplicable business model and a corporate partner that handles the product/service creation, the store design, the training and support and the systemized approach.  Leave behind the slim product margins, territorial restrictions, crazy time commitments and eliminate all  the risk.  Now we are starting to get somewhere that the masses can come.

Internet Franchises come in all shapes and sizes.  They service all industries and because they’re virtual, you can take your business anywhere you go.  The most important thing to keep in mind though is; Internet based business is the future.  Technology moves faster than we can keep up.    If average people like us are gong to harness the change, we need to embrace the concept of Internet Franchising.

Embracing it is something that I personally tried very hard to avoid.  Looking back I was such a fool.  I wasted years with my head in the sand rather than just embracing the shift, the trend, the change.  Don’t be like I was.  Luckily I snapped out of my stupor relatively quickly.  Thank goodness I still find myself ahead of the curve.  Here’s one thing I know for sure.

The internet getting bigger is the most predictable trend in the history of the civilized world.

Truly, just think about it.  Is anything the same as it was just a few years ago?  Not in my world.

My preteen children don’t even know what it means to live before the internet.  They’d never think to open a phone book, dictionary or encyclopedia.  Getting mail instantly without postage is just what they know.  And this trend will continue.  You can bet your butt that things will just get faster, more automated, more accessible and easier to come by.   More and more people everyday finding themselves shopping online rather than standing in line.

The quickest way to get a piece of this trend is with an Internet Franchise.  Why go out and learn everything there is to learn about technology.  There are companies out there that devote themselves to making it simpler for us to get our piece of the internet pie.

-People love direction. Don’t Ask, Tell…Your results will multiply.
-This one point will change everything immediately. Find a way to Under promise, Over deliver
-without Follow up and Follow through we might as well not even get started.
-Let things happen. Conversation Marketing is a process not an event.
-Use 3rd party credibility every time you get the chance. You Don’t have to be the expert, you just have to know the expert.
-Start immediately, Practice everyday, have as much fun as possible.

Challenges In Life are just part of the game.  Please don’t consider yourself out of the ordinary if you’re always dealing with them.  Everyone I’ve ever discussed this topic with agrees that all humans have challenges.

It’s really what being alive is all about.  being able to process events which occur and adapt to them.  Every technological advancement ever created was done order to help overcome a challenge in life.

Challenge: Getting somewhere quicker

Technology Timeline:  Ride an animal => Be pulled or pushed by an animal => Boats => Ride a Bicycle => Automobiles => Trains => Planes =>  => Space Craft => Commercial Space Craft => Personal Space Craft => Beam Me Up Scotty…

Now I know that’s probably not entirely accurate but…it illustrates the point.

Here’s the point of all this stuff.  We must perceive challenges as part of the journey and resolve to overcome all obstacles thrown in our chosen path in order to exceed our expectations.  Please take this as a challenge and make a concerted effort to catch yourself in a negative state of mind.  Identify it, Flip it, Live it, Love it.  ==>> There’s nothing that can stand in our way, period!  Unless you let it…
