|today’s thought| the highest paid baseball players in the world fail 6 out of 10 times at the plate. 60% failure rate. In business it’s not very different; the highest paid Entrepreneurs fail alot. Every failure leads you closer to your next success. Failure is part of the game.
So the game of Baseball parallels life and business in so
many ways it is almost scary when you stop to thing
about it. Failure is not a bad thing. It sounds negative
and it doesn’t feel good but it does lead to success. Here’s
the rub. Faliure appears to have negative implications
which leads people to fear the perceived pain associated
with failure.
Failure is part of the game.
So its about time we did a 180 on failure. Failure is definately
part of the game. If you and I can get on the right side of failure
we will no doubt find many more successes as well.
Every time the fear monster creeps into your mind, think about
being at the plate, facing down a pitcher. You know going in
that there is 60-70% chance you will not succeed (but) because
of the 180 we agreed to, you also know that the 20-30% success
rate is enough to make you one of the wealthiest, most famous,
sought after, treated like royalty people in your field or industry.
