Truth – Perspective Matters

Today’s post is really overdue. I watched this video for the first time when I was exposed to it from an awesome young Pastor named Kevin Beers. He has no idea I am writing this post or that this link to his blog is here.

Pretty powerful right? I can watch it over and over again. It really puts things into perspective which is never a bad thing.

From a fathers point of view, the message is bold, in your face and EXACTLY the message my daughters need to be getting. Optimistic, Forward Thinking and Determined is what springs to mind as the characteristics we are striving for. At 6 and 3 years old, my girls know it more like this; Dad says we never use the word can’t. Dad says we can do whatever we decide to do in life. Dad says I’m special. Dad says not to care what other people think.

Thank God I was brought up hearing the same things. Thanks Mom & Dad.

Looking at from the businesspersons point of view, the message is clear.

Sometimes you need to “turn things upside down”…. As I think more about it, most people and businesses are more reactive than they are proactive. The forces of nature “turn things upside down” for us and then we react to what occurs.

While this is the prodominant occurance in the world today, it makes so much more sense to be proactive and ahead of the curve.

It is rare that people or companies have the foresight to shift their way of thinking until it is Absolutely Necessary.

As Markets go up and down, Revenues rise and fall, Sales increase and decrease, keep the TRUTH in mind. Stay focused, be patient & persistent your Magic Moment may be right around the corner.
